Guest Blogging Guidelines
While we welcome diverse perspectives on marketing, there are a few basic guidelines to follow if you’d like to be featured.
Original Content Only: Not that this really needs to be said but all blogs submitted need to feature original writing. We have no desire to publish repeat articles.
Limited Outbound Links: We’re more than happy to link to your website & social channels as an author but we’d like to limit the outbound links of the actual blog to 2 per article.
Proper Attribution: Please be sure that any data or outside quotes within the article are properly cited and sourced.
Exceptional Quality: Although you don’t need to match the writing style here at Smart Girl, you do need to match the quality. Proper grammar, compelling arguments, and a casual yet informational tone are preferred.
In addition to your blog, you will also need the following:
- Your full name
- Email address
- Your website URL
- Your social media links
- A short bio telling us a bit about you and your background in marketing
- Your post with title included
- Any images you’d like to include with the blog
